About Us

Market History

In July 1995, the West Chester Growers’ Market opened at the corner of Church and Chestnut Streets with 10 farmers. The WCGM continues to provide the community with fresh, seasonal, local food.

As the market nears its 30th year it has an average weekly roster of 28 producers offering seasonal fruits & vegetables as well as meats, cheese, local honey, breads, pastries, roasted coffee, local wines and spirits, hard ciders, fresh flowers, bedding plants and prepared foods.

Over the years, as the market has grown, the connection between the West Chester community and the market has flourished to become a beloved neighborhood meeting spot and a place to buy local, high-quality produce.
